Planet Earth is home to Alex Rogan, who would be fated to become the last starfighter, when he broke the record on the Starfighter arcade machine.
Although Earth is not a formal member of the Star League, it was in danger of being enslaved by Xur and the Kodan Armada. For this reason (in addition to personal financial gain), Centauri marketed the arcade machine as a test for potential starfighters on Earth.
Geography and Population
From at least the distant past to the dawn of Humans, Earth has had several major landmasses with a wide variety of climatic and surface conditions, ranging from tundra to desert, to fields of ice and snow.
Earth has seven continents, North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and Antarctica and is divided into over 180 nation-states.
By the time of the Xurian crisis when it was threated to be attacked by the Kodan Armada Earth had 4,7 billion Humans living on it.
Culture and Society
The Planet is split into dozens of countries with many different societies, organized as nation-states, most of them celebrating own cultures.
Star System
The Terran star system consists of one star, Sol, and nine planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The latter may loose it's status as planet somewhere in the near future. Beside them the system is made up of dozens of moons ("the Moon", other name Luna, being one of them) and other celestial objects. Earth is the only known inhabited world inside the Solarian System.
Despite being located inside the Frontier, threated by Xur and his Kodan Armada and consisting of over four billion people, the Star Legue refuses an official first contact with Earth.
